Our Lunchtime Supervisors

Our Lunchtime Supervisors are a valued part of our East Hunsbury Primary School community. They are the friendly, dedicated team who care for children every day during one of the most important parts of school life - lunchtime. Their role goes far beyond supervision. They help create a calm, happy and safe environment where children can enjoy their break, build friendships and return to learning feeling refreshed.

Working closely with teachers and the pastoral team, our supervisors uphold our rules Be Ready, Be Respectful, Be Safe and our values Be Kind, Work Hard, Believe. They know our children well and support them with kindness, patience and consistency. Whether encouraging positive play, helping children resolve small disagreements or celebrating acts of kindness, they play a vital role in children’s social and emotional development.

This year, as we begin our exciting journey with OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning), our Lunchtime Supervisors will be key to making it a success. OPAL transforms play by encouraging creativity, teamwork and imaginative outdoor experiences. Our supervisors will be trained to support new types of play, help children explore resources safely and champion inclusive, joyful playtimes for all.
